The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking, based in the UK, ranked ILMA University as the top university in Sindh and the third-best private university in Pakistan for the year 2022.

Noman Abid Lakhani (TI), the university’s chancellor, is credited with the success due to his vision, the institution’s high standards for instruction, and its dedication to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs).

It is a proud occasion for Pakistan as one-fourth of its educational institutions have managed to qualify for The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking for 2022, placing them among more than 1,600 universities from 99 different countries.

In a recent interview with the university, Phil Baty, the Chief Knowledge Officer of the Times Higher Education, expressed his admiration for the accomplishments made by Pakistani universities over the past three years in the areas of teaching, research, student engagement, community development, international representation, and global partnerships. He also expressed his high hopes for the future of Pakistani universities.

BIZTEK Institute of Business and Technology was founded in 2001, marking the beginning of Ilma University. After the Sindh Assembly Charter, it eventually changed its name to IBT, the Institute of Business and Technology. It was included to the Higher Education Committee’s (HIC) list in 2012, and after receiving university status in 2017, it changed its name to Ilma University.
