Recently the meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) took place in Islamabad where the Kissan Package 2022 was approved to facilitate farmers in the country.
The meeting was presided over by the Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
The ECC approved the Kissan package 2022 proposed by the Ministry of National Food Security and Research.
Kissan Package 2022
The Kissan Package 2022 offers the following benefits to farmers:
- Agriculture loan disbursement raised from 1,419 billion to 1,802 billion.
- DAP price reduced from 13,750 rupees to 11,250 rupees per bag.
- Conversion of 3 lac tube wells to solar through Interest-free loans.
The package aims to facilitate farmers in Pakistan and boost growth in the agriculture sector which the country greatly depends on.
High-Speed Diesel Demand Rise
The Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division shared that the demand for HSD has substantially increased during the current sowing season. The high demand is also caused by rehabilitation efforts after the floods in the country.
