Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Nawaz Sharif IT City on Saturday. In the ceremony she also unveiled the official logo of Nawaz Sharif IT City and presented a documentary of the project.
CBD and 15 education and IT companies signed an MOU to develop the city. Ambassadors from the US, Turkey, China, and many other countries attended the ceremony.
According to CM, many international tech giants were interested in the IT city. Ten companies have already planned to establish their offices there.
The IT city will span 853 acres and be tax-free for the next ten years. The project will include knowledge cities, film cities, IT districts, and Tech districts.
In this knowledge city, many international universities will set up campuses. In the film city, the latest technologies will be used, promoting the local film industry.
The government of Pakistan has pledged to support companies by giving land and building infrastructure as required by them.
