The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Additional-Secretary for America, Mudassir Tipu recently met with the President of Pakistan Western Canada Trade Association (PWCTA), Bushra Rehman.
During the meeting, Rehman stated that PWCTA was working on organizing a unique trade exhibition in Vancouver to be held in May 2023.
200 Pak Exporters Invited to the Trade Exhibition
Rehman informed that the exhibition is a first-of-its-kind single-country trade exhibition to which 200 Pakistani exporters were invited.
The exhibition aims to showcase Pakistani products such as rice, textiles, surgical instruments, shoes, and IT products.
Potential importers from North America will also be attending the event.
Canada – A Huge Market for Pakistan
Mudassir Tipu stated that Canada is a very important market for Pakistan and thus, we want to widen trade ties with the country.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and explored various trade opportunities and ideas.
Tipu appreciated PWCTA’s efforts and highlighted Pakistan’s economic potential, and the huge investment opportunities adding that it is a market of 220 million people.
