The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the national team squads for the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, starting on Sept 23 and ending on Oct 8.
Qasim Akram will lead the squads, which will also include players from Pakistan’s main team. On the other hand, the women’s team will be led by Nida Dar.

The cricket event in the Asian Games will be played in the T20 format.
Women’s Squad for the Asian Games
Similarly, PCB has announced the women’s squad for the Asian Games. Anoosha Nasir and Shawaal Zulfiqar have received their maiden call-ups, while Diana Baig returns after recovering from a finger injury.
However, former captain Bismah Maroof won’t be part of the Asian Games due to the event’s rules against athletes carrying their children.
The Pakistan women’s team aims to win a hat-trick of gold medals after their previous victories in the Asian Games held in 2010 and 2014.
The PCB sent the final squad list to the Pakistan Olympic Association on July 14.
Notably, international players like Shahnawaz Dahani, Haider Ali, Mohammad Hasnain, Aamer Jamal, Asif Ali, and Khushdil Shah will miss the Asia Cup and World Cup as they will participate in the Asian Games.
