PCB Decides to Build a 5-star Hotel Near Karachi’s National Stadium

The PCB chairman Ramiz Raja has come to an agreement with the business mogul Aqeel Karim Dhedhi (AKD) for the construction of a 5-star hotel near the National Stadium, Karachi. 

The chairman met with top business leaders at the AKD headquarters this week to discuss ways and means to uplift the cricket economy in Pakistan. Aqeel Karim Dhedhi has agreed to provide 8-9 million USD to the development of a 200-room, five-star hotel in the city of lights.  

This initiative has been taken to accommodate incoming foreign cricket teams and to give them a security boost. It shall eliminate the need for roadblocks and diversions during cricketing tournaments and reduce any inconveniences caused to the city residents.

The meeting discussed various ways the private sector can contribute to the development of cricket in the country in turn leading to a positive image of Pakistan as a whole. The PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja was satisfied with the productive meeting and expressed his pleasure at collaborating with AKD. He appreciated AKD’s pledge for the support of cricket in Pakistan. 

A plan to use the National Stadium for multiple sporting events and the process to revive club and school cricket in the country was also discussed.
