When it’s about making Pakistan proud females are no less than males, they have been working hard to keep our country’s name in the good books of the world and give the acknowledgement it deserves among the crowd. We have been evidencing our females conquering the world in various fields regularly. 

Rabia Shahzad of Pakistan won a silver medal in the 52kg category at the World Powerlifting event in Slovakia today. She shared the incredible news on her Instagram while saying:

“Alhumdulillah I have won a Silver medal and broke National Records by lifting a total of 267.5KG (Bodyweight 51.4kg) in the 52kg category in World Powerlifting Championship 2022 in Trnava, Slovakia”.

She further added: “Thankful to Allah for giving me this achievement despite the federation secretary Mr Rashid Malik trying his best to stop my international participation and make me quit the sport,”

In this regard, Rabia Shahzad stated, “I am pleased to have won a silver medal in international competitions.” She stated that I am competing in international competitions at my own expense and that my goal was to set a national record so that I could demonstrate my abilities.

Rabia suggested that the Pakistan Sports Board and the Pakistan Olympic Association investigate the federation’s operations. It should be noted that Rabia Shehzad is the sister of Olympian and national badminton champion Mahoor Shehzad.

We Pakistanis are proud of the achievement of Rabia and wish her many more in future.
