If this is some kind of a marketing strategy, then we certainly have not seen anything like this in Pakistan before. Recently the social media was taken by storm when people started sharing pictures of four KIA cars, all wrapped in the same skins.
KIA is the second-largest automobile manufacturers in South Korea. KIA was launched in Pakistan in the mid-1990s however we saw its downfall shortly afterward. But we have seen KIA make a comeback in the market in recent times and it’s safe to say people like the South Korean Automobile manufacturers.
It was found that the four KIA cars were spotted on the roads in Karachi. Two of these were Sedans and two were SUVs, all wrapped in the same skin emblazoned with the words “WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE”
Since all the four cars are wrapped, they have created quite a buzz on social media where their pictures are being circulated, critics offering opinions and speculation as to what KIA might have in store or us this time.
What Models Are These?
All four cars can be easily distinguished from the pictures circulating social media. Even though the skin wrap “WE ARE UNSTOABPPLE” was a good idea, but it stirred curiosity among the people to know the models of these mysterious cars. Let us break it down for you
- One is the KIA Stinger, which is quite evident from the shape of its headlights.
- The other is a KIA Cerato, which is noticeable by its tail light.
- The mid-size SUV is the KIA Sorento from its general design
- Lastly, the compact SUV is the KIA Niro, based on its size, shape, and design of the taillights and sides.
When Will These Models Be Launched?
According to the sources, KIA is planning to launch these four new models by the end of 2021. Whereas one of them, the KIA Sorento, was unveiled recently by Pakwheels.
Reports suggest that KIA has already brought a few Complete Built-up Units (CBU) to Pakistan, which includes the 2.4-liter engine and the 3.5-liter V6 engine options solely for the purpose of testing.
Initially, the company will also import 46 CBUs and will commence assembling the midsize SUVs locally in Pakistan. How cool is that? We’ll finally see automakers manufacture SUVs locally in Pakistan.
However, KIA is highly secretive about its final product line-up for Pakistan and its market. But we are sure the auto-makers will launch something that favorable for the Pakistani roads and terrain and also the interest of the people. We’ve seen their success in Pakistan with their launch of KIA Sportage and Picanto so we are sure that they will be successful with their other models as well.
