Zoom revealed on Tuesday at its Zoomtopia conference in San Jose CA that it is collaborating with Tesla to integrate video conferencing into its automobiles
“I can confirm that the Zoom integration for Tesla will be available on all new Tesla models soon,” one spokesperson of zoom said.
A demo too was shown by Zoom Group’s product manager Natasha Walia.
In the demonstration, a woman was seen entering her Model Y and utilizing the touchscreen on the Tesla to start a video call using Zoom.
However, there were no specifics provided on how the integration will operate or when Tesla drivers may anticipate video calls to be accessible in their vehicles.
Whether Zoom will work over Wi-Fi or if the Premium Connectivity add-on is necessary is also up in the air.
