Changan Motors has planned to launch two new crossovers; however, we are still waiting to get the first crossovers of Changan in Pakistan. Changan has teased the new crossovers named “Changan Oshan X5” and “ Changan CS35 Plus”. Here is everything you need to know about both crossovers.

Changan Oshan X5

The Oshan X5 will compete against the Kia Sportage, Proton X70, MG HS, Hyundai Tucson, and Haval Jolion as a compact crossover SUV. It’s a stylish SUV with a turbocharged 1.5-litre and a 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 180 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque using a 7-speed DCT automated transmission. The crossover is smaller in size than its older sibling, the Oshan X7, but it creates a strong first impression with its crisp and aggressive appearance. Fog lights, a large waterfall grille and narrow LED headlights with DRLs to adorn the front fascia.

Changan CS35 Plus

In Pakistan, the CS35 Changan will compete with the Kia Stonic, MG ZS  and Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, as a subcompact crossover SUV. It has a turbocharged 1.4-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 158 horsepower (hp) and 260 Newton-metres (Nm), with a 7-speed DCT automated transmission sending power to the front wheels. The Changan CS35 only consumed 8.408 litres of fuel in a recent fuel economy test conducted in the Philippines, resulting in an amazing fuel efficiency score of 21.49 km/l (highways).

Changan has yet to announce if one or both of these vehicles will be available in our market. The Oshan X7 has already been shipped to Oceania, and the manufacturer anticipates receiving a large order soon. Because Changan’s plant in Pakistan will serve as an export hub for right-hand-drive vehicles, this is the case. Changan’s product selection in Pakistan will undoubtedly become more diverse with the introduction of the Oshan X5 and the CS35 Plus.In Pakistan, we are anxiously anticipating the launch of both crossovers. In the meantime, Pakistan’s automobile industry is losing money, and Toyota and Proton have ceased taking reservations. Imports of CBU cars have been restricted, and taxes have been raised. This is a difficult scenario for automakers to overcome. It’s fair to say that the impending Changan Crossovers will provide the automobile sector with a boost.
