The COAS inaugurated state-of-the-art Tunneling Institute, an initiative of FWO, aimed at promoting professional tunneling expertise.

Military chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa (COAS) visited the Tunneling Institute of Pakistan (TIP). The FWO-funded Tunneling Institute was inaugurated by COAS. TIP’s primary goal is to promote tunneling knowledge, including the advancement of research and development, as well as the coordination of tunneling resources.

As a result of TIP, tunneling students and professionals alike will have access to a unique learning environment. FWO finished TIP in just 10 months, making it the only facility of its kind in the world to be completed in a short duration.

The Army Chief also visited the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC).

All of the recent polio campaigns in the country have been notified to COAS, as well as the obstacles they have experienced. Coordination of additional manpower and resources in high-risk areas for the protection of polio teams is required by the COAS in order to realize the goal of a polio-free Pakistan.
