In the meeting, Dar, the finance minister, was briefed on the relief efforts and the subsidies offered on basic commodities—sugar, rice, pulses, wheat, and ghee.
A discussion on the subsidy’s financial ramifications was also carried out.
Dar underlined the determination and commitment of the present administration to help and support the needy as much as possible.
He said that the current administration is mindful of the problems facing the general public and giving the most assistance possible to the underprivileged is its top priority.
