Google Launches an App to Switch From iPhones to Android

Google’s new ‘Switch to Android’ app for iOS makes it easier for Apple users to switch to Android from iOS. Google’s new software claims to make it easier to move data from your iPhone to a new Android device without needing to use a lot of cable clutter.

The procedure of transferring data between Android devices has never been complicated. It’s simple to move your data from one device to another using a USB cord or wirelessly. However, transferring data from an iPhone to an Android device has always been a laborious and time-consuming process, requiring first a backup to Google Drive and then a manual restore. The process of moving data from an iPhone to an Android device may be made a little easier now that Google has released its Switch to Android app.

Similar to Android, Apple has an app called “Move to iOS” that allows users to transfer all of their data from an Android phone or tablet to an iPhone.

In light of Apple’s Move to iOS app, which was released in 2015 for Android users, Google’s Switch to Android app comes late to the party. Contacts, message history, camera photographs and videos, browser bookmarks, mail accounts and calendars may all be transferred via the iPhone maker’s app. In terms of message history transmission, Apple appears to have an advantage over Google, which does not appear to offer the feature.
