ISPR has announced the launch of the National Amateur Film Festival 2022, aimed at providing youth in Pakistan an opportunity to showcase their extraordinary creativity and talent. This year, creators have to share the diverse landscape, rich culture and ancient heritage of their country.
From the turquoise seas of the Arabian Sea to some of the world’s highest peaks, Pakistan’s distinctive terrain is an asset few countries can match. With that in mind, the contestants are encouraged to produce high-quality short films exhibiting Pakistan’s positive and fascinating side.
Each high achiever in the competition will not only receive an award for his/her efforts but also get a chance to win a scholarship for advanced studies in some of the world’s top-rated Film Schools. Last year, A total of 1100+ entries were received from 70+ different educational institutions across Pakistan, with 15 high achievers receiving a one-year filmmaking diploma from the New York Film Academy, a much-acclaimed and prestigious film school.
This time, ISPR welcomes Pakistani youth to submit a short film ranging in length up to 12 minutes around the theme “Oceans to Mountains.”
Movies should be upbeat, enlightening, artistic, and passionate. All genres are welcome ( Animation, fiction, documentary, and experimental films). Furthermore, as long as English subtitles are provided, every language is permissible.
What matters most is that the content originates from the heart. Creators have to make a film that shows the world how beautiful, one-of-a-kind Pakistan is.
The deadline for project submission is June 30th, 2022. Additionally, the submitted film’s material must be copyright protected. ISPR will not charge any of the participants a screening fee.
