In a small teaser video shared on Changan’s social handles, Master Changan has announced plans to launch the Changan Oshan X7 in Pakistan on March 7, 2022. The fact that the Oshan X7 will be making its global premiere in Pakistan is even more intriguing.
Changan Automobiles, being one of China’s top four vehicle groups, has 32 years of experience in manufacturing and selling passenger vehicles in China. Danial Malik, CEO of Changan, made a little teaser video on the company’s social media accounts, referring to the company’s Alsvin debut of last year:
“Last time I spoke to you was almost a year ago and I am humbled to have your attention again.”
Changan’s plant in Karachi, Pakistan, began local production of the Oshan X7 in February and is now shipping locally assembled units. Again, Changan is demonstrating that it is possible to roll off a vehicle before it is officially unveiled. This is indeed a more efficient method of launching a car than relying on bookings without local manufacturing. In the words of Changan, the X7 is a “Disruption in Pakistan’s SUV Segment,” and hopes to create a stir in the market.
Changan Oshan X7 Price in Pakistan is estimated around PKR 6,050,000 to PKR PKR 6,350,000.
Specs and Features of Changan Oshan X7
Changan Motors has not released any information on these features but as per information, it will come rich in features and safety equipment. During an interview with Business Recorders, Danial Malik hinted at what the Oshan X7 would have to offer. He stated:
“Changan Oshan has a Euro-VI engine and the first time a Euro-VI SUV will be assembled in Pakistan. Secondly, it is equipped with advanced autonomous technology which is also being introduced in Pakistan for the first time. We have been testing at level-3 for autonomous driving and based on that rigorous testing, we have introduced autonomous technology which is compatible with Pakistani roads. This will not only improve the driving experience but in fact, make it much safer.”
